As we close out our first full year as Oaks Ministries, we are humbled and deeply grateful as we reflect on all the ways the Lord has worked through our staff, volunteers, and students. The year 2024 brought its share of challenges, but even amidst trials, we have witnessed the Lord’s faithfulness and His presence in every step of our journey. It is a profound reminder that we serve a God who is always with us, guiding and empowering our mission.

Celebrating Milestones and Answered Prayers

This year has been marked by incredible milestones that demonstrate the Lord’s provision and the collective effort of our dedicated team. We’re thrilled to share that we added more staff to our growing ministry, allowing us to expand our reach and effectiveness. Additionally, we celebrated the 12th year of our after-school programs at Walton Oaks—a testament to the consistency and transformative power of this initiative in our community.

We also took a significant step forward by launching a new program at Walton Green in Augusta. This expansion is a direct response to the growing need for faith-based mentorship and educational support in our area. Furthermore, our College for Kids program saw unprecedented participation, with over 110 students and 10 high school interns joining us. For the second year, we also welcomed our 2nd Urban Apprentice, a young leader (an alumni) eager to learn and serve, underscoring our commitment to building a strong foundation for the future.

Facing Challenges with Faith

Like many organizations, we faced unexpected hurdles this year, particularly with the impact of Hurricane Helene on our fundraising efforts. However, these challenges have only strengthened our resolve to trust in God’s provision. We are actively working to raise an additional $75,000 to support our growth and ensure the sustainability of our programs. Your prayers and contributions are making a tangible difference as we move forward with faith and determination.
